Guides by who you are
dembrane looks different depending on why you are here. These guides take the features and retell them from your point of view: when you would reach for each one, and what you can do in your role.
The people of dembrane#
Host: you run sessions and make sense of them. You create projects, collect conversations, read transcripts, ask questions, present results and write reports. Most people in the dashboard are hosts.
Partner: you are a host who runs dembrane for a client who owns the data. These pages cover the client’s workspace, the free observer role and data ownership.
Staff: you work at dembrane. These pages cover the staff console, customer accounts, tiers and billing, support access and trainings.
Participant: someone invited you to record. No account and no setup. Scan a code or open a link, talk, done. These pages say what to expect and what happens to your words.
External developer: you integrate with dembrane, run the code yourself, or contribute to the repository.
Internal developer: you work on the dembrane codebase. Architecture, the data model, the processing pipeline and how it ships.
Tip
Roles overlap. A host is often also a workspace admin, and a staff member may host projects of their own. Read whichever guides fit what you are doing today.
