Refining & verifying
On this page
While you record, you may see a button labelled “ECHO”. It gives you up to two ways to sharpen what you are saying: “Explore” and “Verify”. Your host decides whether you get one, both or neither. Both are in Beta.
The button works once you have recorded for 60 seconds. Until then it fills up, and tapping it tells you how many seconds are left. Recording goes on while you use it.
Explore#
The portal describes it like this: “Get an immediate reply from dembrane to help you deepen the conversation.”
A language model writes a reply on your screen. It draws on what you said so far, on how your host described the project, and on summaries of other conversations in the same project. Read it, then keep talking.
Verify#
The portal describes it like this: “Take some time to create an outcome that makes your contribution concrete.”
- Under “What do you want to verify?”, choose a topic. Two examples: “What we actually agreed on” and “Hidden gems”. Press “Continue”. If there is one topic, the portal skips this choice.
- A language model writes a short text from what you said. The portal calls it an outcome.
- Read it aloud and say what you want to change. Then press “Revise”, and the text is rewritten from what you said since. You can also change the words yourself: tap the pencil, “Edit”, then “Save”.
- Press “Approve” when it says what you mean.
Your host sees only the outcomes you approve. A draft you do not approve is not shown to them.
Waits and reminders#
- After you use “Explore” or “Verify”, that option rests for 2 minutes. It shows “Cooling down.”
- “Revise” can be used again after 30 seconds. If you said nothing new, you see: “No new feedback detected yet. Please continue your discussion and try again soon.”
- Your host can ask the portal to remind you. Then “Finish” first shows “Verification reminder”: “You haven’t verified any outcomes yet. Would you like to verify before finishing?” Choose “Verify” or “Skip”.
